Charles Clifford Abshier

Charles Clifford Abshier of Leasburg, Missouri was born on Wednesday, November 16, 1921 at Diehlstadt, Missouri to the union of George L. and Nila (nee: Nicholson) Abshier and left from this life on Monday, June 21, 2010 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 88 years 7 months and 5 days. Clifford, who was known as Bill by his friends, spent his life being a farmer and he believed and practiced the Baptist faith his entire life. He enjoyed Cardinals baseball, growing tomatoes and watching sports on TV. Clifford was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Clifford is preceded in death by his parents George and Nila Abshier, five sisters Mary Elizabeth Maple, Virginia James, Kathryn Vance, Helen King and Virginia Isgrigg, one brother Charles Brand and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy is his niece Sonia Carroll, nephews Gary James, George and wife Halbert and Wayne and wife Teresa Halbert and other relatives and a host of friends. Family would like to extend a special 郢邀邜Thank You郢邀邝 to the ladies who helped take care of him. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 11 AM till 1 PM at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Don Martin officiating. Special music will be 郢邀邜Amazing Grace郢邀邝 and 郢邀邜How Great Thou Art郢邀邝. Interment and prayers to follow at the Lea Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Abshier family.
