Charles A. “Charlie” Schroeder of Cuba, Missouri was born on Friday, December 2, 1932, in Fanning, Missouri to the union of Albert and Sophia (Clemens) Schroeder. He left from this life on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Cuba Manor at the age of 89.
Charlie served in the United States Army National Guard and operated Schroeder Construction in Sun Valley, California in his younger years. He was a retiree of Operating Engineers Local #12. When he was not at work, he was always helping others with projects that they needed help with. He loved traveling, camping, gold mining, snow skiing, woodworking, race cars and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Sophia (Clemens) Schroeder; one brother Henry Schroeder; one son Roy Schroeder.
Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his five children Ron and wife Shelly Schroeder of Cuba, Ruth Nichols of Stanton, Ray and wife Alice Schroeder of Belle, Julie and husband Shannon Doyle of Cuba, Jenny Webster of Bourbon; one daughter-in-law Sissy Schroeder of Bland; one sister-in-law Nellie Schroeder of the state of California; seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and many friends.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, from 1-3 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, 3:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Leroy Bryant, officiating.
Inurnment will follow at Mounts Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
