Carolyn S. Wells

Carolyn S. Wells of Cuba, Missouri was born on Tuesday, October 4, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of William and Leila P. (Evans) Vandervoort. She left from this life, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at her home at the age of 57 years. Carolyn was united in marriage to Charles Wells on Friday, November 25, 1983 in Steelville, Missouri. Carolyn worked as a Real Estate Appraiser for Missouri Property Appraisals in Cuba. She enjoyed being outside taking care of her flowers and the birds. Carolyn spent many days at the river and lake. She loved cooking, grilling, driving fast and riding roller coasters. Carolyn had the knack of finding beautiful antiques. Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother. Carolyn was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend of many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents William and Leila P. "Lee" (Evans) Vandervoort; one daughter Candace White; one sister-in-law Louise Crider and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving husband Charles Wells of the home; one daughter Amanda and husband Sean Dobkins of Columbia, Missouri; three grandchildren Cameron Britt, Zachary Thurmond and Ella Rose Dobkins; nieces, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 5:00 till 8:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Graveside service will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018 10:00 a.m. at Delhi Cemetery (Hwy. UU) Cuba, Missouri. (Meet directly at the cemetery, please.) If desired, memorials may be made to an Educational Trust Fund for Cameron Britt, in care of the Carolyn's family. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Wells family.
