Carole Ann Scott

September 28, 1948 — July 30, 2021

Carole Ann Scott of Cuba, Missouri was born on Tuesday, September 28, 1948 in Columbia, Tennessee to the union of Hamner W. and Dorothy (Richards) Scott. She left from this life suddenly on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan at the age of 72 years.

Carole retired after several years of dedicated service as a Teller at First Community National Bank. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church and she would later become a member of Trinity Chapel Presbyterian Church.

Carole was a member of Cuba Chapter #398, Order of the Eastern Star since December 1968. She served as Worthy Matron many times and served the Cuba Assembly #33, International Order of Rainbow for girls as Mother Advisor. She also served the Grand Chapter of Missouri as a Grand Representative, District Deputy Grand Matron and as a Grand Officer.

Carole was a longtime devoted volunteer at Meramec Music Theatre, Gallery Zeeks, Heartland Arts, Crawford County Relay for Life, Woodson Terrace Business Association, Overland Business Association, Northwest Chamber of Commerce. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and she enjoyed all the many friends she met along the way. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, word search books and watching T.V.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents Hamner W. “Scotty” and Dorothy (Richards) Scott.

Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her brother Lee and wife Zandra Scott; one nephew James Russell Scott all of San Jose, California; special friends Carolyne Simpson and family, Donna Josar and family, Donna Jackson and family, Judy Erwin and family, Lee Reiner and Rosella Roberts; her beloved fur babies Patches, Sassy and Cinder; several cousins and many friends.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.

Order of Eastern Star Service will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021 3:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service with Pastor Donna Schiro, officiating at Mizell Funeral Home.

Inurnment will follow at a later date at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

If desired, memorials would be appreciated to Crawford County Relay for Life or Meramec Music Theatre.

The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Scott family.
