C. Stan Harris

July 30, 1952 — February 25, 2007

Charles Stanley Harris of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Stanley G. Harris and Margie G. Harris (nee: Huffman) in St. Louis, Missouri on July 30, 1952 and left from this life on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at the age of 54 years, 6 months and 25 days. Stan worked for All-Type Fence Company prior to his illness. He was of the Baptist faith, proudly served his country in U.S. Army, was Past President of the Eagles Club of Bourbon and ATAC (Area Town Action Club) of Leasburg. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing and could be found with his friends most Tuesday evenings at the Chat N' Chew in Leasburg. He also enjoyed entertaining others with Karaoke. His favorite past time was spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Stan is preceded in death by his father Stanley Gordon Harris. Those who are left to cherish and celebrate his memory are his mother Margie G. Harris (nee: Huffman) of Cuba, Missouri; his companion and friend for 22 years Linda Davis of Cuba, Missouri; Three daughters Margie Sue "Sissie" and husband Clay Hart of Cassville, Missouri, Kristine Amber Thomas of Vandalia, Missouri and Erin LeAnne Davis and her fiance Jason Strange of St. James, Missouri; one sister Brenda Dement of Steelville, Missouri; Eleven grandchildren Kyler, Kearstin, Dalton, Lauren, Chelsea, Arianna, Cordell, Tabitha, Anthony, Brent, Amber; two nephews Aaron and Rod Dement; one niece Melissa Blanford and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation: Tuesday, February 27, 2007 4-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri Funeral: Wednesday, February 28, 2007 11:00 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Heironimus, officiating. Interment: Delhi Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri with full military honors. Those serving as pallbearers Jody Lavin, Larry Richards, Darryl McKisson, Clay Hart, Lee Gann and Jason Strange.
