Betty Jean Mccormick

Betty Jean McCormick of Cuba, Missouri formerly of Springfield, Missouri was born to the union of George Edward and Myrtle Ann (DeGonia) Hood on June 16, 1934 in Morse Mill, Missouri and left from this life on Friday, January 4, 2008 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 73 years 6 months and 19 days. Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed playing Keno and Bingo, spending time on the computer, watching TBN and making crafts. Betty is preceded in death by her parents George Edward Hood and Myrtle Ann (DeGonia) Hood; husband Donald McCormick; three brothers James and Nelson Hood and Thomas Kriner; one sister Edna Mae Manley. Those who are left to celebrate her life is one son Garry and wife Kathy McCormick of Cuba, Missouri; one daughter Donna Stricklin of Springfield, Missouri; one sister Georgiann McGinnis of Rolla, Missouri; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation: Tuesday, January 8, 2008 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral: Tuesday, January 8, 2008 1:00 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Knight, officiating. Interment: St. James Cemetery, St. James, Missouri.
