Betty Jean Blankenship of Bourbon, Missouri was born on February 24, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Charles and Melba (Harper) LaBryer. She left from this life surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at her home at the age of 72.
Betty was united in marriage to Marion Blankenship on October 1, 1966, in St. Louis, Missouri. To this union three children were born Tina, Marian and Darrell.
Betty retired from Von Wiese Gear Company in St. Clair after 26 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, cooking, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents Charles LaBryer and Melba (Harper) Barton; husband Marion Blankenship; grandson SSGT. Joshua Schoenhoff; sister Aileene White; brothers Kenny LaBryer and Eddie Robertson.
Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three children Tina Schoenhoff of Bourbon, Marian (Jeff) Redhage of Sullivan, Darrell Blankenship of Bourbon; eight grandchildren Tim, Aaron and David Schoenhoff, Darrion Blankenship, Nathan Dotson, Devlin Blankenship, Daria Blankenship and J.D. Redhage; three sisters Barbara Barton of Rolla, Diane Johnson of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Callie Eckelkamp of Union; ten great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.
Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, 11:30 a.m. at Gerth Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.
Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Devlin Blankenship, Tim, Aaron and David Schoenhoff, Jeff Redhage and J.J. Kitchen.
