Bernice Alline Eads of Cuba, Missouri was born November 7, 1922 at Leasburg, Missouri to the union of Waldo and Geneva (nee: Land) Kitchen and left from this life on November 26, 2010 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 88 years and 19 days. Bernice was united in marriage to John Newton Eads at Leasburg, Missouri on March 18, 1945 and to this union three sons were born John é¢ééRogeré¢éé, Darrel and Steve. Bernice graduated with an English Major in 1941 from the college in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was a substitute teacher for many of the rural schools in Crawford County and then for Crawford County RII School District before retiring in the mid 1990é¢éés after fifty plus years of teaching. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba for the last 25 years and truly loved spending time with her family and friends. Bernice was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents Waldo and Geneva Kitchen, husband Rev. John Newton Eads, daughter-in-laws Janelle and Donna Eads and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving sons John é¢ééRogeré¢éé Eads of Charlotte, North Carolina, Darrel W. Eads of Cuba, and Steve and wife Jane Eads, Sr. of Cuba, two grandsons Stephen A. and wife Nicole Eads, Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri and Jason A. Eads of Cuba, one beautiful great granddaughter Ella Alline Eads of Kansas City, Missouri, two brothers Lawrence and wife Ruthene Kitchen of Bourbon and Elbert and wife Sandra Kitchen of Sullivan and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 2:00 till 6:00 P.M. at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba and Monday November 29, 2010 from 10:00 till 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Cuba. Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 29, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Cuba with Pastor Bob Knight officiating. Special music "Face To Face With Christ My Savior" will be provided by Patti Campbell and Jonna Leonard accompanied by Dan Calkins. Honored to be serving as pallbearers will be Roger, Darrel, Steve, Stephen and Jason Eads. Interment and prayers will follow at the Lickcreek Cemetery, Cuba. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Eads family.
