W. Bernadene é¢ééBernieé¢éé Stubblefield was born Friday, October 23, 1932 at Rolla, Missouri to the union of William and Myrtle (nee: Watkins) Williams and left from this life on Monday, September 14, 2009 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 76 years 10 months and 22 days. Bernie was united in marriage to Bob R. Stubblefield on May 10, 1952 at Cuba, Missouri and to this union two sons were born Daniel and Dale. Bernie worked as an assembly line worker for Hussman Refrigeration Company in St. Louis, Missouri before she retired in 1989. Bernie was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Cuba and she enjoyed reading, gardening, fishing and movies. But what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family and friends. Bernie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend of many. Bernie is preceded in death by her parents William and Myrtle Williams, son Dale Stubblefield and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her loving husband Bob Stubblefield of the home, son Daniel and wife Karen Stubblefield of St. Charles, Missouri, two beautiful grandchildren Samantha and Nicholas, one brother Billy and wife Betty Williams of Columbia, Illinois, sister-n-laws Maggie and husband Don Shelton of Poplar, Missouri and Ginger and husband Ed Windle of Cuba, brother-in-law Jack and wife Mary Stubblefield of Phoenix, Arizona, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from 5 till 8 pm at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Funeral service will be 11 am Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with the Rev. Pat Gruber officiating. Special music will be sung by Sandy Mitchell. Interment will follow at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association in Bernieé¢éés memory. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Stubblefield family.
