Barbara M. Heironimus

November 27, 1935 — October 15, 2021

Barbara M. (Jenne) Heironimus, 85, of Cuba, MO died Friday October 15, 2021 at her Daughter’s home in Deerfield, Kansas. She was born November 27, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Treva Jenne.

Barbara spent her early childhood in St. Louis until the family made the move to Riverview, a NE suburb where she attended the local schools. It was there that she met her husband of 67 years, Norman Heironimus. The two were wed on October 30, 1954 in Riverview, Missouri.

Together they grew in the Lord and in 1960 decided to pack up their family and sell their home to begin their 6 year venture. Barbara supported Norman while he attended college and Concordia Lutheran Seminary in Springfield, Illinois for 4 years, one year in New York City and then returned to Springfield for a year where he graduated. Barbara was a wonderful mother during this venture and officially became a Pastors wife in 1966 when they moved to Deerfield, KS where Norman became the Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church. In 1979 they moved to Cuba, MO where Norman became the Pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for ten years before moving to their present property just outside of Cuba.

Barbara was a supportive wife and wonderful homemaker. She wasn’t one to make a fuss about herself and was content with a quiet lifestyle. She enjoyed taking care of others, playing cards, and spending time with family. She loved mowing with their 52" Big Dog mower on her and Norman’s property. She was loving, kind and absolutely delighted to be a grandmother and great-grandmother. Barbara enjoyed crocheting items for her family which will be forever cherished.

She was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir and shared her beautiful voice. She previously taught Sunday School and was an active member of her church. Through faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord, Barbara is rejoicing with him today!

Barbara is survived by her Husband- Norman Heironimus, Children- Kathy (Rick) Weatherred of Deerfield, KS, Kyle (Elizabeth) Heironimus of Springfield, MO, 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, and Sister- Margaret Reckert of St. Charles, MO.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, a Stillborn Son- Mark David, Son- Kevin, Sister- Patricia, Brother- Charles Jr., and Grandson- Luke.
