Barbara A. Killeen of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, September 13, 1929 at Pennfield, Michigan to the union of Max L. and Julia A. (nee: Beaver) Caldwell and left from this life on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan at the age of 82 years. Barb was united in marriage to Paul E. Killeen on February 13, 1950 at Cuba, Missouri and four sons were born to this union; Kenneth, Gary, Kevin and Roger. Barb graduated in 1948 from Potosi High School, attended college in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and became a one room school teacher. She then went on to graduate from Excel Beauty School in Rolla, Missouri in 1965 and was a beautician until 1979 when she attended and graduated from Nursing School in Rolla. Barb worked as a nurse from 1979 until 1991 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center. Barb also sold Tupperware and Sarah Coventry Jewelry during the 1960's. She was a member of the Cuba Church of Christ, the "Lunch Bunch" and the "Three Mile Extension Club". In her spare time she enjoyed collecting everything, traveling, decorating cakes and spending time with her family and friends. Barb was a loving daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Barb is preceded in death by her parents Max and Julia Caldwell, husband Paul E. Killeen, one son Kevin Killeen, one brother Max Caldwell, one sister Jeanne D. and husband William West, brother-in-laws, sister-n-laws, cousins and other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her sons Kenny and wife Carleen Killeen, Gary and wife Vicky Killeen and Roger and wife Madeleine Killeen all of Cuba, daughter-in-law Sandy Killeen of Cuba, ten grandchildren; Brandy and husband Tommy Hewkin, Amy and husband Noel Hendrix of Cuba, Ashley Killeen of Springfield, Missouri, Dawn and Mat Kamler of Cuba, Molly and TJ Maxwell of St. Louis, Missouri, Matt, Mandy, Jenny and Katie Killeen and Jordan and husband Jonathan Cason all of Cuba, nineteen great grandchildren, special friends Faye Lamb, Betty Miller, Eva June Pasch, Nova Lawson and Ova Marie McGinnis and all the people at Cuba Manor, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 5:00 till 8:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba with Pastor Steven Wick officiating. Special music will be "On Eagles Wings" and "Be Not Afraid". Interment and prayers will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri Memorial contributions may be made to Cuba Church of Christ in Barb's memory. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Killeen family
