Avonell 'Abbie' Risinger

Avonell D. 郢邀邜Abbie郢邀邝 of Cuba, MO was born to the union of William and Lydia (Tayloe) Rutz on September 12, 1924 in Owensville, MO and left from this life on Sunday, September 21, 2008 in Cuba, MO at the age of 84 years and 9 days. Abbie was united in marriage to Paul F. Risinger on October 12, 1945 in St. Louis, MO and to this union two children were born born Gary and Gail. After retiring Abbie and Paul moved to the Indian Hills Lake Community. Abbie was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church,a member of the Cuba Cutie Red Hat Ladies, St. Louis Ambassadors Club and a great supporter of the Variety Club of St. Louis. She enjoyed dancing, music, playing the guitar, collecting Angels and Hats, but most of all she loved life and spending time with her family and friends. Abbie is preceded in death by her parents William and Lydia Rutz, husband Paul F. Risinger; one brother Curtis Rutz; one sister Gladys Benham and an infant grandson Baby Boy Risinger. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her son Gary and wife Randy Risinger of Colleyville, TX; daughter Gail Boles of Chesterfield, MO; sister Doris and husband Jim Jerden of Jefferson City, MO; grandchildren Abbie (Allen) Risinger Hall of Hurst, TX, Christine Gardner of Watuga, TX, James (Chandra) Gardner of Flower Mound, TX, Brian (Liz) Boles of Ballwin, MO, Kim (Tom) Tanurchis of Ballwin, MO; great-grandchildren John Thomas Tanurchis, Connor Paul Boles, Hailey Barber, Brice, Sydney and Landen Gardner; nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation: Friends may call on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 5-9 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Tribute Service: Wednesday 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: Thursday, September 25, 2008 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father James Finder as the celebrant. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Memorials: Variety Club of St. Louis or Charity of choice. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Risinger family.
