Anastasia Marie "Nan" Dietrich of Cuba, Missouri was born Wednesday, May 31, 1939 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of John E. "Jack" and Anastasia (Nee: Kiley) Piel. Anastasia went home, to be with The Lord, on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Lee's Summit Medical Center, Lees Summit, Missouri at the age of 79 years. Nan was united in marriage to Ernest Dietrich and they are the proud parents of Mary, Robert, Kevin, Elizabeth and Nattelle. Nan spent her life taking care of her family and home. She spent many hours gardening and playing Bingo. She volunteered at the Food Pantry and Head Start for many years. What she truly enjoyed most in life was spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nan was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church of Cuba. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Anastasia Piel, one brother Edward Piel, one sister Esther Kozney and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her loving husband Ernest Dietrich of the home, five children; Mary and husband Mark Reckerd of Edgar Springs, Missouri, Robert and wife Michelle Dietrich of O'Fallon, Missouri, Kevin Dietrich of Cuba, Elizabeth Stout of Kingsville, Missouri and Nattelle Dietrich of Jefferson City, Missouri, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters; Josephine Coulson of Barnhart, Missouri and Patricia Sparks of St. Charles, Missouri, one brother John and wife Pam Piel of Lake of the Ozarks, one brother-in-law Robert and wife Bonnie Dietrich of St. Charles, Missouri, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial visitation will be Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 10:30 till 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 415W. School Street, Cuba. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church of Cuba. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cuba Ministerial Alliance in Nan's memory's. In keeping with Nan's wishes, she was cremated. The Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Dietrich family.
