Amirah Wade

Amirah LeeAnn Wade was born into the loving arms of her parents, Jilli Bridgeman and Lane Wade on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis and sadly left from this life on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Though her time on earth was short, the impact that she has left on her family’s life will forever live on in their memory along with the countless pictures that they were blessed to capture. Amirah came into the world having already been loved before her actual birth and left this life only knowing the feeling of love.

Even though Amirah was a small baby, her demeanor was larger than life. She came into the world with a full head of dark hair with a fighting spirit and the perseverance of a fighter and the independence of a grown woman. Most mornings when she would wake up from her beauty sleep, she eagerly awaited the ‘reading of the morning weather report” from her grandpa, Tim. She craved attention and love from all her family, and she would let them know if they were falling short. Now it’s debatable where her sassiness came from, but she had the attitude of a teenager. Amirah had a huge heart and loved showing off her big smile. When Amirah was feeling tired, she always needed a loved one’s finger to hold on to, the nearness of someone made her feel the warmth of love that would sway her to sleep. Amirah’s family will always have these special memories and moments to carry with them forever keeping Amirah’s memory alive. She will be truly and deeply missed by all who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Steve and Judy Wade, Marion Bridgeman and Richard Fowler; one aunt, Sarah Wade.

Amirah is survived by her loving and doting parents, Jilli Bridgeman and Lane Wade of Washington; grandparents, Jodi Bridgeman of Washington, Shaun Bridgeman of Cuba, Tim Fowler and wife Megan of Washington and Julie Wade of Cuba; great-grandparents, Mary & Mike Gregory of Nebraska; Aunts; Uncles; other relatives and many friends.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Mizell Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 6:00 P.M. Cremation will take place after the services.
