Alta E. 'Pixie' Pilkenton

Alta E. "Pixie" Pilkenton of Cuba, Missouri formerly of Sullivan, Missouri was born on February 1, 1934 in Stanton, Missouri to the union of Wiley Benjamin and Edith (Cooper) Pilkenton and left from this life on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan at the age of 78. Pixie worked for the Sullivan Independent News before becoming disabled. She was the former Secretary of the Saddle Club in Sullivan and enjoyed writing, watching TV and being up to date on Current Events. Pixie is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Richard and Benjamin Pilkenton; brother-in-law Frank Piezuch and sister-in-law Sharon Pilkenton. Those who are left to treasure her memory are her sister Betty Piezuch of Japan, Missouri; brother Larry Pilkenton of Cuba, Missouri; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. Private burial will be held at the Anaconda Cemetery, Anaconda, Missouri. Mizell Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Pilkenton family.
