Allene Marie "Polly" Brockman of Jacksonville, Florida was born to the union of Luther and Leona (Cockrum) Woodham on February 3, 1937 in Dallas, Texas and left from this life on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 74. Polly started out as a homemaker raising her children, she then became a hairdresser and later was a Restaurant Manager for the Flaming Pit and Po Folks Restaurants. Her hobbies included playing bingo, card and board games, walking on the beach, shopping and collecting porcelain dolls until Mark passed away. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking their favorite meals when they would come to visit. Polly is preceded in death by her parents Luther and Leona (Cockrum) Woodham; former husband Fred Tinker, Jr. two children Marcus "Mark" and Kathleen "Katie" Tinker; two brothers Cotton Woodham and Sonny Woodham; three sisters Hannah Brown, Mildred Huffstutler and Jean Cook; three brothers-in-law Bill Huffstutler, Adolph Huffstutler and Randolph Cook. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her four children Lawrence "Larry" and wife Brenda Tinker of Affton, Missouri, Christopher "Chris" and wife Terry Tinker of High Ridge, Missouri, Phillip Tinker of Jacksonville, Florida, Vicky and husband James Sparks of Jacksonville, Florida; nine grandchildren Danny, Amy, Brian (Robin), Christin, Heather, Amanda, Ashley, Sara and J.C.; ten great-grandchildren Saturn, Damion, Carter, Mason, Trent, Kiley, Sydney, Jackson, Cameron and Grant; two sisters Margie Huffstutler and Judy Katzer; brother-in-law Onis Brown; sister-in-law Tina "Tiny" Woodham; special friends June Shy of Jefferson City, Missouri and Betty Munsonof Jacksonville, Florida; beloved dog Buddy; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 10:00 a.m. until time of service 1:00 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Don Martin, officiating. Interment will follow at Sellers Cemetery in Davisville, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Sellers Cemetery. The Mizell Funeral Home is Honored to be serving the Brockman family.
