Alice Juanita Moore of St. James, Missouri was born Monday, November 5, 1928 to the union of James and Zula (nee: Weatherman) Western and left from this life on Monday, June 28, 2010 at St. James, Missouri at the age of 81 years 7 months and 23 days. Alice was united in marriage to Paul K. Moore on June 28, 1947 at Salado, AR. They were the proud parents of Deborah, Pam, Rebecca, Susan, Kindall and Wesley. Alice retired in 1992 from the Crawford County R-II School District after 28 years of being the school nurse. Prior to that she worked at the Sullivan Hospital in the ER and the OB. She was a former member of the Church of Christ in Cuba and Rolla. She always enjoyed Big Band music, the Beatles and of course Elvis. But what she loved most in life was spending time with her family and friends. Alice was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Zula Western, husband Paul Moore, son Maj. Kindall Wayne Moore, brothers Jimmy and wife Louise Western, George Western and Bonnie Western, brother-in-law C.L. and wife JoAnn Moore, sister-in-laws Madge Moore and Irene and husband Woodrow Cantrell, other relatives and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her loving children; Deborah and husband Phil Mullen of Liberty and Cuba, Missouri, Pam and husband Sam Barone of Kansas City, Rebecca and husband Charlie Guthrie of St. James, Susan and husband Dennis Garoutte of Cabot, Arkansas and James é¢ééWesleyé¢éé and wife Aimee Moore of Haskell, Texas, six grandchildren Kelli, Cliff, Andy, Laura, Devin and Madyson, great grandchild Aiden and two on the way, sisters Mary and husband Marvin Moore of Roanoke, Texas, Jan and husband Bob Sutton of Beaumont, California, Paulette Sullivan of Keller, Texas and SA and husband Dennis House of Missouri City, Texas, sister-in-laws Becky Western of Texarkana, Texas and Carol Western of Chipley, Florida, brother-in-law Roy Dean Moore of Flint, Michigan, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial visitation will be held Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 5:00 till 7:00 P.M. at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Memorial service will be held 7:00 P.M. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba with Cliff Mullen officiating. Special music will be é¢ééWhat a Wonderful Worldé¢éé, é¢ééNever Grow Oldé¢éé and é¢ééHow Great Thou Arté¢éé. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Phelps County Regional Home Care and Hospice in Aliceé¢éés memory. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Moore family.
