Marian M. Marchi

Marian M. Marchi of High Ridge, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, was born Friday, March 23, 1928 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of John and Margaret (Nee: Younker) Mayes and left from this life on Friday, May 29, 2015 at her daughter's home at the Lake of the Ozarks at the age of 87 years. Marian's career was about taking care of others. She worked for the Nursing Services in Steelville a few years, she worked as the Art Director for the Resource Recovery of Cuba for ten years and then the last ten years of her career she worked as a Home Health Care aide for the patients referred to her by Dr. Agasino. When Marian lived in Cuba she was a devout member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and she was a member of the VFW Post #2593 Ladies Auxiliary in Arnold. Marian enjoyed reading, needle work and taking care of others. What she treasured most in life was her family and friends. Marian was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, great aunt, and friend of many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Marian is preceded in death by her parents John and Margaret Mayes, son John Wieland, one grandson Andrew Nahlik, one sister Virginia and husband Joseph Rambicourt and other family and friends. Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy is her loving daughters Karen and husband Lawrence Nahlik of High Ridge, Missouri and Kathleen "Kathy" Marchi of Camdenton, Missouri, four grandchildren Christine and husband Mark Steller of Festus, Missouri, Jason and wife Tricia Nahlik of Festus, Missouri, John Wieland of Lincoln, Missouri and Justin King of Eagle Rock, Missouri, nine great grandchildren; Jacob, Josh, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Olivia, Sydney, Andrew, Chelsea and Christopher and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 11:00 AM till 2:00 PM at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Mizell Funeral Home, 904 W Washington Street, Cuba, Missouri, with Father Rich Boever as celebrant. Special music will be "I Come Before You", "Be Not Afraid" and "When I Get to Where I'm Going". Interment and prayers will follow at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving Marian's family.
