Vanda M. Gossage of Sullivan, Missouri and formerly of Cahokia, Illinois was born on Thursday, November 26, 1931 in Jackson, Missouri to the union of Joseph and Grace (Masters) Biri. She left from this life on Wednesday December 2, 2020 at Life Care Center of Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 89 years.
Vanda Biri was united in marriage to Johney Gossage and to this union four children were born Joyce, Charles, Sandy and Johney, II.
Vanda was a homemaker most of her life, she loved taking care of her home and family. In her spare time, she enjoyed flower gardening, playing bingo, coloring and putting together puzzles.
Vanda is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Grace (Masters) Biri; husband Johney Gossage, I; one daughter Joyce Welchel; one daughter-in-law Marsha Gossage; one great-granddaughter Elizabeth “Lizzy” Short.
Those who are left to treasure her memory and to continue her legacy are her three children Charles and wife Pat Gossage of Salem, Illinois, Sandy and husband Leon Short of Cuba, Missouri, Johney and wife Dee Gossage, II of St. Clair, Missouri; ten grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 3:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Don Martin, officiating.
Interment will be privately held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
